Route 30 Intersection and Safety Improvement Project in Lancaster County to Begin

Project runs from Route 896 to Route 772

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a 9-mile intersection and safety improvement project on Route 30 in Salisbury, Paradise, Leacock and East Lampeter townships, Lancaster County, is scheduled to begin soon.

Weather permitting, work will begin the night of Monday, April 8. The contractor will work nightly between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM. There will be short term traffic shifts and lane closures during work hours.

This project consists of Superpave overlay, milling, base replacement, ADA updates, pavement markings, signal upgrades, intersection improvements, and other miscellaneous construction, on Route 30 from Route 896 (Eastbrook Road) in East Lampeter Township, to Route 772 (Newport Road) in Salisbury Township.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

Allen Myers, LP, of Worcester, PA, is the contractor on this $7,619,000 project. All work is expected to be completed by July 18, 2025.
